New Skink Owner- Need help Hey everybody I recently received a skink for a gift and I wasn’t given any information about it except that it eats crickets. I have a picture and need to know what type of environment, lighting & heating, and area he/she needs to be in. Ive found that it might be in the Trachylepis vittata species but am not sure. He/she keeps trying to escape out of the terrarium, I’m not sure if it is a problem but he/she is also held a few times a week.

Yea after doing a quick search, I am like 95% positive you do NOT have a skink! Looks a lot like a Gerrhosaurus flavigularis to me. So before you jump all over us, you should do your own homework!
