 Wet Dog Food

Is it okay to feed you BTS wet dog food. I know I have read that it is okay but I am wanting to make sure. I got this beef flavored dog food and want to know if it’s cool for hi to eat it.

That is all I use mixed with frozen veggies. Works great, blueys are healthy and no problems. I know breeders who have used this for 20+ years which excellent results!

I feel cat food is fine for younger ones (under a year or so) but it is too much protein for adults. Dog food better suits their natural diet (omnivores). Cats are pretty much strictly carnivorous, thus the food being mainly meat. I would stick with dog food, btu that is my opinion.

ok i will switch to using more dogfood

the main reason i like the cat food is b/c it comes in smaller containers and the dog food i can find only come in big cans so i am afraid of it spoiling oh well i gess my dogs will just get some wet dog food lol

what is the max protien i should look for on the cat/ dog food to make sure i dont get one that is too high in protein?

thanks

Another reason why I use dog food is the fat content. Cats have a higher metabolism which means they will require more fat to burn than dogs. So many bts will become obese with cat food.

I wouldnt worry about looking for a particular % of protein. I usually mix it up. Sometimes use senior dog food (low in fat), weight management (low fat as well), regular, and even cat food. With have about 35 BTS, I try to find the largest cans possible lol. But I do know when I had just one BTS, it was a pain as I always had food spoiling before i could use it all.

there are some more holistic dog foods that come in small cans and seem to have less junk in them. they are a bit pricey, but worth it. always make sure to wipe your blueys mouth off from any dog food residue after feeding.

i do clean him very well

b/c he almost sits in his food lol he gets it all over his face and his front feet

i cannot find any small cans of holistic food where i live

the canned stuff i buy is blue buffalo and they only have large cans but oh well i will just give the rest to my dogs

Actually, I don’t use dog food but mix chicken or ground turkey with greens, veges and a little fruit.
whenI did use dog food I looked for low fat and more natural ingredients.
