Injured wild baby skink I found a baby bronze colored garden skink. He is bruised on his chest. Courtesy of my dumb cat. He is 1.5 inches long. He was cold, labored breathing. Still alive this morning, 8/19/09. What can I feed him? If he recovers I will release him.
thanks

Injured wild baby skink Petco sometimes sells flightless fruit flies. Also, many pet shops sell "pinheads," new-born crickets. Food isn’t as urgent as you might think though. A few days without eating isn’t great, but it’s like us missing dinner. Environment and temperature is the biggie. How are you housing him?

many recommend a diet of vegetables, and not those sodium laden ones either, but fresh ones from the produce department at the grocery store. it is so nice you are helping the skink your crazy, devoid, and sinful cat tried to ’rend asunder’!

Injured wild baby skink I find skinks will eat peach baby food. It is something an injured skink could lap and get food and water at the same time. A little egg yolk is good as well. I hope the little fellow makes it.
