 Berber skinks

i am getting my first skink sunday, and it is a berber. i know their care and requirements.

just wanted any tips or advice for them?

my berber is hand tame but tends to nip sometimes so the current owner states...any idea why?

I really don’t know. My BTS does not nip, but I make sure that I never hand feed him. I don’t want him mixing up my fingers for food because it hurts to get bitten. I always wash my hands before I handle him so they are germ free but also because then they won’t smell like food.

The only time that I was nipped by my BTS was when I stupidly tried to brush some dirt away from his mouth. I don’t know how well they see and I don’t blame them. I don’t see them as vicious either. I think the fingers just get in the way when they are going for the food.

yeah, my youngest leopard gecko has to be hand fed, otherwise she won’t ever eat! so i have to feed her by hand...she has MANY a times caught my fingers!

i think reptiles are so siked and hyper when its dinner time! they munch anything near them haha!
