Ok, I took some pics, can any body tell me what kind it is, and I tried getting him out of the cage for pics but he started hissing and squirming and tried to bite me, will that change after he settles into his cage? And I know the cage isnt very good but he has a heat pad til later today when i get him a heat light and flat rock. I also looked up their diet and he has cat food now but will be greens/meat/fruits after we go to the store today or tommorow.

First off, congrats on your skink. Looks like you have an indonesian to me. Do you know for a fact he was captive bred? I think as long as you handle him and make sure to let him settle in he’ll be fine. He’s probably just a little freaked out.

Im not positive but the breeder I got him from said hes had him since he was born so he probably is. I got the heat light today and put a flat basking rock under it, he seems to have calmed down a little since I got him.

Glad to hear it. Make sure to keep humidity above 40%. Your guy is from Indonesia, not Australia so higher humidity is necessary, especially when it comes to shedding. Good luck with him/her.
