 Can someone please tell me what this is?

I would like to know what this is, as well as if it is dangerous. I don’t like any kind of lizards and am extremely terrified of them. This one came in my house and I tried catching him, but no such luck. So now he is somewhere around the house doing God knows what. I’m worried about him getting in my couch, or bed, please help

if you have any bug problems you could leave him in the house there is about ten runnin around in my house eating roaches i did not catch them and let them go in my house they just all got in and i have a large heating pad under the dresser in my room for them i like them not as many roaches since they arived eather

Definitely a 5 line skink. Nice little lizards! will eat any flies, spiders, roaches or bugs around the house though!

lots of people have them running the house...not caught and kept as pets but left around the home to eat the bugs etc.

There are very few dangerous lizards in the world and believe me, that is not one of them. I wish something like that would come into my house. You are very lucky. You also must live much further south than I do. Us northerners are reptile challenged. There are so few reptiles running around and it is rare to see them. Enjoy your little house guest. He looks very cute.

aka Blue-Tailed Skink and they are harmless insect eaters.
