 Baby Blue Tail Skinks

What do I feed a young blue tailed skink that is about 3 inches with his tail and 1 1/2 not including his tail???

small mealworms, spiders that are half dead, anything thing that moves and thats small enough for them basically. Big appetite too.

Mine ate small mealworms and small crickets to start with, along with the occasional phoenix worms and wax worms thrown in for treats. He still eats all of this, just bigger sizes now. Good luck, they’re fun.

Blue-tailed or five-lined skinks tend to avoid eating spiders in the wild. Feed your skink pinhead crickets and mealworms until big enough to take large crickets. Dust insects with Repti-vite or equivalent supplement. 3-4 insects every 2-3 days, working up to 5-6 insects every 2-3 days. NEVER feed your skink any insects you catch as they may be carrying insecticide or be poisonous.
