 New scorpions!

I got a few new things yesteray at the Midwest Reptile Expo. I only had $140 so I couldn’t get too much. I got 2 2nd instar B. jacksoni, and 2 3rd instar B. jacksoni. I got 2 I believe 2nd instar Hottentotta trilineatus. I had talked to Botar by 8’s about those, so I knew when I left that I was going to get them, but I also got one I wasn’t expecting, Opistalphthalmus wahlbergii. I have no idea what instar s/he is, but s/he’s about 2 1/2". I know Metz is going to go crazy, but I was stoked when I found it. Botar by 8’s is my new hero! I only paid $25 for the O. wahlbergii. Here are some pictures.

H. trilineatus with my thumb for reference.

B. jacksoni (one of them) with my pinkie for reference.

O. wahlbergii. Eat your heart out, Metz! lol

Actually as far as I understand it, "poisonous" means that if you eat it, it will harm you. So technically I don’t think I could say whether or not they are "poisonous". Yes, the Hottentotta’s are quite venomous, and the B. jacksoni semi-dangerous.

Well Metz, I discovered something. You may not have an O. wahlbergii, but I may as well not have one either. Talk about a "pet-hole". I have only seen it once since I got it last Sunday!

then we have different understandings. i understood that venom is injected by an animal, where poison isnt. i guess you could use venom to poison someone if you put it on their food
