what is the best substrate to use in the scorpion tank?

somebody told me that dirt was a good option is this true?

either dirt, or moss peat is good.
Only problem with dirt is that it can compact into mud and then your scorpion cant burrow very easily.
what species is your scorp?

I’m going to correct y’all a bit here.
While yes, peat moss is a good substrate for some scorpions, it is *not* the best for *all* scorpions.
What type of substrate to use depends on what kind of scorpion you’re getting.
If you are getting a rain forest scorpion such as a P. imperator then yes, peat moss works great. However, if you’re getting a desert species, such as a bark scorpion then peat is *not* what you want. Desert scorpions should be put on sand.
