 Do research

all scorpions are venomous, just some, like emps, have very mild venom, similar to a bee sting in potency, others, like L. quinquestriatus, will kill you. also, making venom is expensive so most scorpions have 2 types, one that kills and is hard to make, and one that hurts like hell but most likely wont kill you.

Itís just a rule of thumb that works a lot of the time. Bigger claws=weaker venom (usually).

True, it is the general rule of thumb, but, because of the "usually" and "except for...." I donít go on that and I donít toss it out to others because ultimately, someone, somewhere will forget about the "usually" part and they will be the one percent who will find the species with the big fat pinchers that tags them and away they go.

Ok, back to the orginial question, although it has already been answered.
Not all scorpions are the same and they can not be lumped into one catagory.

Poison is a man made substance, so scorps not poisoness, Venomous is what they are.
