 Cleopatra`s Babies...

Hi,
I just wanted to post an update on our babies. These Scorplings were born sometime between 11:00Pm on April 3rd and 9:00PM on April 4th. With all I`ve read about how fragile they are and so many die trying to molt, I have been very worried that I`d lose a bunch. But, Thanks to MEEE for the great advice and the fact that Cleopatra is such a good Mama, They really seem to be thriving. This First picture was taken April 4th.

Here they are at 1 week of age....

10 days (April 12th)

And, these pictures, I took today. The Clarity is not great, because in order to see the babies, I have to put my Camera on "night" instead of "sport". And they are moving around a lot. They are now 2 weeks old, are leaving mama to explore a little bit, and OMG! They are SO cute...Still can`t tell exactly how many are there, tho....

Hey Rayna,

They are adorable! OMG. You did such a great job! It looks like you have at least 10 or so. My mom said I could have one for SURE now! But if you end up finding homes for all the surviving ones or whatever donít feel bad if I canít get one. I could always buy one. But anyways Iím interested if youíre looking for homes. ;)

In those last pictures, did they kill the adult Scorp? I thought I saw blood.....lol.

Sorry if I am mistaken or mis-informed.

But, cool scorplings!

Shhhh - donít say that. He probably do (LMAO) he had one before....years ago. But I donít think I do. I just like to look at them, from the other side of the glass. Itís ok... I tell him....donít let them out. He currently donít have any bugs or spiders. When we go hiking in the woods. He will pick up ANY bug, snake, or lizard even if he donít know about the species. The bigger the better. Good thing we donít live in Arizona or Australia. He would be dead. LOL

 Cleopatra`s Babies...New pics...

These pics were taken this past week. As You can see in the second pic, One baby stayed on Cleopatra`s back a little longer than the others. I guess He was the last one born??????

This little guy didn`t want to go back in the "Hide" with Mama...

And these last ones, I took tonight (Sun) when I fed them... They are now 19 days old and they are growing SO fast... The little guy who was still riding "piggy-back" in the picture above can be seen clearly in this next pic. He`s in the middle/top of the pic. He`s smaller and looks like He`s a molt behind everyone else, but, He is eating, So I hope He makes it. I am counting 15 for sure, but as they move around so much, there may be a couple more than that.

lookin good. i hate to say it but mommy related mortality in babies is a reality. personally, i think they are actually doing pretty good for your first parenting attempt.
