 Cave sponge

my scorpions keep pulling their drinking sponge into their cave.

they pick it up and carry it three feet and pull it thru the cave entrance.

why do they do that

im new to scorps but from what ive read sponges shouldnt be used because they are breeding grounds for bacteria, mites, and other parasites. the paint drawing was impressive tho and yea the sub is prob to dry.

esio - you have to take the sponge out of there its only going to make negative stuff happen.

also maybe they dont want anything in their way while they drink the water.

or maybe they are too lazy to crawl all the way across the tank to get some water so they moved it into the hide

what is the humidity? also, you will want to replace the sponge with a shallow water dish.
