 Heating question

you actually only need the heat source on at night because they are noctual..so as long as it gets 70+ degrees all night (all night meaning 9pm - 6am) your emperor will be fine.

I have two emperors that i keep in the same tank..I have a heat mat on the bottom of one side and some times I use a space heater.... and they do just fine...

When heating a scorpion tank you really need to put the heat mat on the side of the tank rather than the bottom of the tank.Even if you have a cool side and a warm side. Emps love to burrow and if getting to hot they will burrow get away form the heat. If the heat source is directly below the scorpion this could cause problems IE: dehydration or death.
