 Any Idea?

I had a young Emp a while ago. He was doing great, eating regularly, had good humidity, and never got cold. Well, one day I went to feed him and he had dropped dead. Do young emps often do this, or could there have possibly been something wrong with hem?

First, how big was the imp...including tail and palps?
Death can occur for many reasons, some of which are:
1. Old age
2. Parasites
3. Incorrect enviromental conditions
4. Bad molt
5. Injury causing them to bleed to death
6. Chemical poisoning
The list goes on, but these are some of the most common reasons for sudden, unexplained death.

This was a while ago so I donít really remember the stze of it. It was baby slightly longer than your middle finger when stretched out. I kept it in a 2.5 gallon w/bark bedding (I didnít know at the time it was the wrong stuff due to bad pet store advice). It had a plastic cave hide and a water bowl. It got misted 3 or 3 times a day and ate crickets regularly. I only had it for a month or 2 and in that time it never molted.
