 FBN’s Need Help
Okay, question for all FBN’s owners, I’m purchasing my FBN’s this week, and i’ve read all the care sheets and done research, and so much is contradicting itself, so my question is this, do they require a heat lamp? SOme say yes, some say no? I have 6 FBT’s right now, that from what I understand in reading, they basically require the same kind of care almost. Is that true? I’m not buying until I fully understand the care taking process. So, do I need to buy a heat lamp? That just is the only part that I feel is confusing. If you can help clear this up for me. Also, is feeding them small crickets okay? OR do they prefer something else?

Absolutely no heat lamp! They like colder temperatures which is different from FBTs. Keep them in the colder part of the house. You can feed them crickets, bloodworms, cut up earthworms, etc. Make sure you also have a land potion as some rather enjoy being on land than it the water.

Thank you so much! That’s what I thought also, and I am getting my tank ready even though I my FBN’s won’t be here till next week, (have to order them through petco) I just don’t want to buy unnecessary items!!!
