Salamander food Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on if the canned crickets/grasshoppers... would be ok to feed my tigers? They almost always turn down worms and will take a cricket in a second. Would there be anything bad about the canned food (too many vitamins...) I just thought it might be nice to add more variety to the diet and easier since the crickets seem to die rather quickly.

Salamander food I’ve heard some people saying they weren’t as nutritious as the real deal. My guys won’t take anything that doesn’t move so it didn’t work for me.

Salamander food yeah, those things are kinda crappy
does your tiger come out to eat and beg? have you hand fed? if you can get him hand feeding on crickets, you can offer him worms later, I cant imagine a tiger sal denying a wotm...
good luck!

Salamander food They come out every time I enter the room, and they have hand fed since day one. It’s easier for me to hand feed so I know exactly how much they are getting. One of them will take the worms with just a slight hesitation, he actually jumps up at my hand every time it enters the tank and has almost swallowed the bamboo tongs a few times! The other one refuses worms, I have tried dangling it, rubbing it on her nose and just throwing it on the ground in front of her- will not take it! On the other hand she will take a cricket in a second, no hesitation.
