 Questions about breeding mice.

I am just starting to breed mice. I got two sisters and a male from a breeder. The girls are 4 weeks old and the male is 5 weeks.
I have read that you can breed them for the first time at 6 weeks. Does that mean you put the male and female together for the first time at 6 weeks or that she has them at 6 weeks?

When the females are six weeks old they are big enough to breed. I let my females go to 8 weeks, though, just to put more size on them so they can withstand the rigors of pregnancy better.

Yep, you gotta wait at least 6 weeks for them to breed with the male. But the younger you introduce her to the male, the more deadly complications she could have with the babies. So it would be best to wait till hey are at least 8 weeks.
