 Light failure

2 days after buying my uv light it burned out..
I believe this may be due to the fact that it was in an adjustable light (with a dimmer) although i didnt use the dimming feature. Could this be the case?
Took good care of the light otherwise.

What brand and what exact type of lamp ...UV B is usually flourescent ...not incandescent
If you have a receipt all lamps from the pet store have a 60-90 day warranty.

A coiled lamp is a CFL ...compact Fluorescent lamp...
They will not operate properly and will flicker and fail if you use a dimmer device.
Any Fluorescent lamp will ...use a regular socket / lamp dome with NO dimmer...remove any device that acts as a dimmer.
