 Psychos new setup

this is psycho he is an everglades rat snake

i will be getting a new snake soon, and to prepare for the new guy i had to move some stuff around and he got hooked up. this was his tank

here is the new tank, only substrate because i just got him a new heat pad and i had to test it out first

everglades rats are abboreal, so he is loving the extra height

when i was moving him it felt like he is gonna shed soon, im excited to see what he looks like next, when i got him he was kinda gray and tiny like a shoelace.

well not new but yeah thats psycho #2. i got him in january, he was so tiny then. i dont think of it as spoiled, if i were locked in a box at least gimme a nice box, so i try to give them stuff to do and try to make it look good. everything in there was bought at a dollar store other than the bozai and the substrate, you just gotta find the stuff you can afford and make it work its not hard. my latest cheapo tank decor is that fence looking thing, its supposed to be edging for like a lawn and a garden it was 2 each i got two took them apart and made them into one tall one and bam psycho gets to climb all he wants

when i found him he was laying right out in the middle out in the open and i saw him but left him thinking leave him he is chillin but then an hour later he was still there. but the really sh@Tty part was this was on christamas morning. it lead to alot of arguing with my family that day as well, cause i was bummed and one brother of mine said whats the big deal, and i snapped and lost it, horrible experience all around. but i named this guy psycho #2 for just this reason here, me explaining it to people, hopefully helps them realize that stress isnt to be messed with, the breeder didnt even question me as if he knew this snake prolly wasnt gonna make it ,prolly his baby that wouldnt eat and when he gave me pyscho #2 he was way bigger than #1.
