 Starting to worry

i have a baby everglades rat snake, had him about a month now and im starting to worry cause he hasnt ate in 9 going on 10 days. i have a ball python and i know he can go for months but he is big, this guy is tiny 11 grams maybe 12 inches long. i was told to feed him twice a week and he was eating every five days for me no problems but last couple times i tried he hits the food and takes it but doesnt kill or eat it. it might be that hes shedding, but he doesnt look like it clear eyes not dry or faded like my ball gets. im really hoping im worring about nothing but baby snakes are new to me and i wanna take care of this guy.
my questions are how often should i be feeding this guy? and how much i have pinkies that weigh .8-3 grams?
this may sound dumb but, does it take a week for a baby to shed like my ball does? im thinking less surface area less time is that the case or is it a process that just takes a week no matter how big the snake?
and i really dont want it to come to this but how long do i let this go before i take him to be forcefed? i mean ima keep trying but at what point should i be scared 30 days 15?
hopefully im just dumb but sitting here after watching him strike but not eat again worries me

thanks. i try to make them display tanks, i couldnt do the tubs i really enjoy just looking at them in their tanks and its not even all that hard to do, im a stone mason so i get all the stones i want for free and everything else is from the dollar store. okay i splurged on the bonzai tree that was 11.99 but i had to get it, its not gonna last him very long but its so friggin cool to look in and see a snake sitting on a bozai for now.

thats my black milks tank, very simple again the most expensive thing the skull was for a fish tank i no longer have and i got that for 9.99 at walmart

not hard to screw that up. when i got my first ball home i was in total shock as he ripped his way through a lid that took me all day running around to make, in the first hour i had him. i totally mis judged how powerful these snakes actually are. the staples i used to hold the screen wound up ripping the screen i got for cheap , then once the screen was stretched and ripped all to hell he just poked his nose out and laughed at me. thats probably why i havent had an escapee, knock on wood, i couldnt believe how easily he dismantled my lid. the lid i got for his new tank weighs prolly 20-25 pounds he aint lifting that

Yea I have a feeling he’s behind the dry wall because we put a wall where the garage door is and that would be a nice snug dark place but I’m gunna have to tear it up only at the bottom but I’ll be able to hide it lol and thanks man
