 My baby =] (DUW?)

This is my baby Baird’s rat snake, she’s about 12-15 inches long, I can’t tell because she won’t sit still when I have her out. Her name is Pandora. She’s my first reptile.

This was taken when I got her at the show. I was so excited my hand was shaking.



Her cage setup. Aspen makes me sneeze. Oh well.



She’s persistent.



She thinks she’s sneaky.



But I always find her.



And then she just chills out.



And enjoys a nice defrosted mousicle.



Yes that pinky was tiny but it was her first meal with me. She eats wonderfully though.
Also I got all of my questions answered by someone and everything in her tank is finished now and she’s doing very very well. I just wanted to show her off because I think she’s wonderful. =]

It makes me so happy to see a first time owner doing everything right. Research, found a great guy to get info from, bought all items necessary, tank set up perfect, and got your hands on a beautiful bairdi! I love the looks on bairdi babies, and yours is exceptional!

Things were a little bumpy at first since I didn’t expect that I was going to be able to get anything at that show. But I would never get any animal without knowing the basics first. I’m too much of a compulsive worrier to just jump into something.

She’s the only baby baird’s I’ve seen in person so I really wouldn’t know what exceptional means in this case, but I really do appreciate it. I was told she’s a Texas locality but I would still love her even if she was Mexican. I’m just happy to finally have a snake after wanting one ever since I can remember. Thanks for the nice things you said about her, she’s very special to me.

I live in Texas, there are some great looking ones around here (very rare find in wild though). I take its some TransPecos locality line .
