 Why did she eat tail first?

Why did my 2 yr old ball python eat a mouse tail first? I’ve been feeding 3 mice, twice a week. she ate the third one backwards and hasnt eaten since. that was a week and a half ago. I’m getting worried

If you feed a third mouse when it has been more than 30 minutes from when they strike the first mouse, and there are any lights on in the room, they will always eat it backwards and stop eating for two and a half weeks. Your snake will eat next week, but this time just give it two mice and make sure the lights are on but are dim during both feedings.
