Water Python - I Finally Got One!

I went to the Long Island Reptile Expo on Sunday and I found someone who had the snake I’ve been looking for for a long time. My favorite python - The Water Python. Check it out.

Enclosure for now.

I also got this while I was there. Pastel Hypo Boa.

Nope. They’re not the same. If you want to look them up, you’ll see the difference. Liasis Mackloti and Liasis Fuscus.

Yeah, it looks amazing right now. I’m going to try getting pictures of it under some light to show off the colors from the reflection. Looks best under sunlight, but it’s a little cold out for that. Maybe one day when the sun’s bright enough and I can do it by a window. Hopefully the camera will pick up the colors in the pictures.

I’ve always wanted a large python, but I am short, I’m an adult so I’m not growing anymore. I have always loved the granit burms. But my 8 ft female redtail is big enough for me. I am not a fan of ball pythons and don’t really like childrens or carpet pythons, blood pythons are basically ball pythons with red and orange coloring. I love your water python though. It’s very pretty. I’d love to see pics of it in the sunlight.

Water pythons are about the same length as the red tail boas. They’re just thinner, lighter snakes.

Here’s a picture of an adult. I don’t know who these people are. I found this on a google image search.

They are very pretty, but I’d have to do a little more research and learn more about them before I get into buying one, I like to know my stuff before owning the animals.
