i had to take the reptibark out because he started getting mites. i’m gonna leave it in the freezer for a couple days, can anyone tell me if that will kill them?

Should kill the mites, but unless you use a bleach solution in the cage to kill them, and treat the snake, you won’t get rid of the mites. They’re a pain in the . My son had a mite problem for over six months. i think he finally got rid of them. Good luck

i think their both actually. i havent seen any on him in a week though, and he hasn’t been soaking in his water bowl, so it seems like their going away.

Mites arn’t just going to go away. You will need to treat the snake and the enclosure. Just throw the bark away , it’s cheap enough to replace. Why take chances by using it again ?
The mites have a life cycle , you have to treat until you break that cycle. They wont just disappear on their own.
