hi everybody i’m new to this website, and this is my Jungle carpet python, his name is Vito

I purchased him in august from a cheap pet store (big mistake)

he wasn’t handled or fed very often there, so i sort of consider him a rescue

in the past week he has been treated for mites and i am currently boosting the heat in his enclosure due to respiratory problems

he seems to be recovering quite well, but any input would be appreciated. thanks!

this was on valentines day 09

so if you can see the difference he has gotten bigger, when he sheds ill get pics up then, hopefully he sheds soon.

i’m sure you would be surprised at what your carpet can eat. before i started feeding hoppers my snake was eating full size adult mice, but it seemed to big which i why i’m using hoppers.

theres some videos on youtube of carpets eating possums, wallaby, and there is even a video of one eating a small kangaroo.yea wtf
