 Enclosure building advice

Talked the wife into getting a retic again but only if i can prove it can not escape its cage. We have a young child and she is afraid that it will get out and hurt or kill her. I have assured her that all the stories that you hear are from irresponsible owners who neglected to lock the cage or juat let them roam free. I am wanting to build a small room enclosure for it in the basement. I would like to add a floor drain for hosing out the cage and possibly elevated floor so that i can heat the floor and keep it off the cold concrete. Anyone with similar caging, ideas, or links to other builds? Any info or thoughts would be great

I have installed tile and radiant heated floors and showers for many years now...The idea would be the same. Frame up a dam with 2x4’s just as you would a shower pan...do a shower drain with abs pipe out to where ever...install /float the mud bed of 4 parts sand and 1 part plastic cement. Install radiant heat and tile over that.

There are ways to do it without the tile but the cement work would have to be finished very nicely to make it pretty. The radiant heat will be the most expensive part.

If you want links on how and where to get materials , just ask me...

Thank you, just saw that someone responded. Finishing concrete is.no problem as thats what I do for a living. Sadly some things came up and the snake and cage are on hold. A link to information on the radiant heat would be useful for future refrence though if you have a good one on hand.

I looked at various sites for radiant heat , this is what I found.
Each application varies for tile or for in slab ...or wood floors.

radiantec
The link below is what I am used to installing under tile
flolor heat

This company offers the same at slightly lower prices
