scale rot---dermatitis....!!!!! go to a reptile-herp vet ASAP!!!!!!! I went through this before more than once. I lost a snake to this before. could be caused by mites. but that sever mite treatment could kill him. the poison gets in the blood. it’s happened to me as well. go to a vet ASAP...

also, i just noticed while examining the snake for mites.... well i don’t know what you keep him in but that wire is a big NO!!!! that alone will slowly kill him as he requires CONSTANT HUMIDITY... which CAN NOT be achieved in any kind of opened air enclosure, plus they are not to be kept near a breeze AT ALL!! plus the wire is sticking out pretty bad just about the right place to jack up your snakes side.... he needs a Viv, proper temps, humidity. not to mention your substrate??? what is it? pine, or ceder. NO NO NO!! that will cause belly rot, and eventually kill him... PLEASE GET SOME CYPRESS MULCH,, or even news paper. no tanks with screen tops. only use vented Viv’s. no chicken wire or mesh. and please, GO TO A VET!!!
