 Water Aggression?

Has anyone ever heard of this or had this happen?

My burmese python is usually pretty tame, especially since I have been using the hook. It makes getting him out of the enclosure and handling afterwards a lot easier. Everything is great until it hits the water. That snake becomes possessed or becomes the spawn of Satan himself. Aggression level kicks up about 450%. Doesn’t matter if I use my hands, the hook, or just look at him. He snaps furiously and constantly and doesn’t give up until I’m just not there. I’ve noticed this when I take him out and let him hang out in the bathtub, the kiddie pool outside, or when he’s just soaking in his own water bowl. It’s fine in the enclosure because I can leave him alone and he’ll come out eventually. It’s a lot of work when I have him in the bathroom or outside.

I don’t really see this as a problem. It’s just something I’ve noticed and was curious if anyone else has something similar.
