Just curious... Why do you feed in another container and not in his enclosure???.... beauty by the way

It disassociates food from handling when opening the cage. I do that with my new albino burm.

I’ve fed all of my snakes in their enclosures for years and my hand has never been mistaken for food.

Ya thats a total myth... Snakes know the difference between food and your hand.... Ask any long time keeper of ssnakes or breeder.... they will all say to feed in the enclosure...... When your burm is 13 feet long and weighs 150lbs its not going to be easy to move her into something else to feed...... more chance of you getting bit then......

Im in noway flamming on your here.... just wanna give you some good info.... plus i used to do it too until i was told different

I’ve always called that a myth too. Only time I ever feed in another enclosure is when I want to get a picture or something.

lol i just feed it in a container because if i dont my snake always makes a mess in the cage with the shavings lol it just keeps me from having to clean all the shaving from the water bowl and ect

Hey dude, what’s the plastic that you used called, do you know? I need to build a few more new cages and I’ve been using wood for the frames and I’d definitely like to try my hand with this plastic material. I just need to find out what it’s called so that I can start looking into wholesale and find somewhere to rent the plastic welding equipment. The last 6 cages I built turned out really nice, but they’re heavy as hell. Thanks.
