Yhese pics are not the newest ones {those are still in camera} but you can see the differance from when she came home and 3 months ago.
Bring home date was Oct 12th.

her nose was scabby and nasty.

now the man i got her from said she was 3yrs old....what do you think? {oct of 08}

and her 3 months ago...looking all cute and scab free

only got a head shot because she was due to eat. she waits like that for her rat or small bunny.

I hope to get the others off my camera soon!

All snakes grow at defferent rates but I will say mine is almost 1 year and looks as big if not bigger then yours, really beautiful albino though.

Thanks. When we took her to the vet he said there was no way a burm could be 3yrs old and only 4 1/2 feet. So I looked online but it really has no growth chart for a burm. Im guessing shes more lke 1 1/2 old now. She up to 7ft and not sure on her lbs. Shes heavy lol! I am getting some new and better shots of her soon. The ones I took were crappy :(.
I hope I can get her to sit still long enough so I can see her hearts. Shes got cool heart patterns all over her.

She’s really nice!

Looking forward to the newer pictures of her.

I would say, that at 7ft she cant be any older than 2yrs, but as me and 2ndbaseman were saying in another post they do grow at different rates.

She really does look great!

She looks really good now, as you know with rescues, you never know the true history of the snake. I get so many excuses from people, when most of the time, it’s just improper care. Good luck with her!

Her name is Honeybear. Shes been a perfect little devil in my home lol. Really shes the calmest snake i own. Very easy to handle,gives good warning if grummpy and eats like a cow. The mites and RI were hell on her. Her nose will never heal fully. The vet said it had scabbed where a snake rubs to start a shed. So I have to watch and be sure it wont get reinfected. {she was scabby all over due to mites. poor girl was so itchy shed rub on anything. her tank was a 20 long! so issue #2 was her rubbing the screen wanting out.}
Honeybear was the one snake Ive always wanted. 2 yrs of research, 5 yrs of planning and one great big OOPS that the former owner was an A$$.
Now I got my baby monster

Nice rescue glad shes got a better home now.
As for the growth rates, as already stated by a few people it can depends on several factors, husbandry, feeding, genetics all play a part in it. That being said she is VERY small for 3 years but it is possible.. Not too worry, with good husbandry and lots of food she’ll be a monster in no time. Congrats again.

She looks even more beautiful in these pictures!
She has a really striking pink head doesnt she!

Its kinda hard to tell the weight of her looking at the pictures, but she looks to be in much better condition in your hands, than when you first got her.

If you could give a few more bits of information(feeding wise) im sure everyone will be happy to tell you what they think and offer advice (if you need it!)

I always take good advise =D

i feed her bi weekly. i also switch it between 2 rats {between lg and med sizes} or 1 med bunny. shes got wiked feeding response so she eats anything i give her. {had a spare mouse once....im not freezing nor keeping 1 mouse. ever see a 6ft burm just swallow her food w/out smushing?}
I do bi weekly because she seems content with that. Now during her growth spurts she can eat {and will if id let her} eat every 5 days. but i dont want her over weight. i fed her weekly when she came home. afer 3 months of it she refused for the first time. so i waited and tried again a week later. she took it great.
she also is very good about taking ANY kind of prey, f/t,pre killed and live. so i never have to worry about what i can find.

i do love her pink head blushing :) makes her eyes stand out!

I think my friend you have it spot on!

I have a question about switching between the rats and bunny;

I know that if people eat nothing but rabbits they will die because the meat is too lean, is it the same for snakes? Or do you just switch to keep her interested?

I havent seen a 6fter just swallow a mouse but when Maya was smaller i saw her do the same with some fuzzies.

For me switching her food keeps her happy. {I think. Some will disagree and that ok lol} Also the shop I ues is a small mom and pop place. I dont have a huge pet co or any thing near me. If he has rats {f/t or live} I get them. If not I go to the farm. Now I know at some point she will need large bunny size. And rats just may not due.
Also I dont understand why som people worry about feeding the bigger burms huge food like a pig {or what ever ??} Why not just get two 25 lbd new zeland rabbits? smaller things digest better dont they? and its cheeper to buy two rabbits that one piglet. I may be wrong tho. Ive only got a baby burm and Im still learning. {yea I say baby...shes my baby lol}
