hey guys. if i feel that my snakes cage may be too open for him would plants hurt?

plastic plants are ok otherwise you will end up with a messy cage. Try a large water bowl and another hide or something to reduce the space or a log maybe.

although I should have added keep an eye on your humidity if you stick a larger container in.

I have large enough container that the large male can fully submerge in and have a good soak and being I have a large tank it suits and k eeps the humidity to where I want it.

If your humidity is fine as it is then try a log or something that takes up space and the snake can also hide behind.
