 HELP!!!

I want to buy a yellow throated plated lizard, but I can’t find any one who sells them. Are they a specialty lizard that I have to buy from a breeder or can I buy them from a regular pet store?

 HELP!!!

Another name for that plated is the Yellow Line Plated lizard. The pet store near my home had one, but It was there for a long time. These lizards are not as "main stream" as beardies or leos so that’s why your having a time finding one. I would say to find a mom and pop store and see if they can order one special for you. You can try to see if one of the chain stores will do it, but they are really restrictive on what they can "special order." Otherwise, you’re better off buying offline.

 HELP!!!

general exotics.com (no space) or maybe reptiles ncritters.com (no space.) Do your own search for sites on google or some other search engine.

 HELP!!!

I think that there is always risk in buying offline, but in order to acquire something more exotic sometimes you just have to. I would chose a site that has some sort of policy about "what if the reptile comes dead" and such. I know it sounds horrible to say that, but it happens so you should be prepared. The shipping practices have gotten much better throughout the years, so you shouldn’t expect the thing to come dead or sick if the company knows what they are doing.
