 Looking into an armadillo lizard

i think armadillo lizards are cool and so cute and with a herp show coming up...well, let’s just say fate may be in my favor. okay. i’ve read a little (and plan to read a lot more) but so far i have a few questions-

some say basking area should be 90-100 some say 120-130. which is better?

can’t find info on appropriate substrates. more like calcium carbonate? also some say 40% humidity and some say 50-60%.

some places say a 20l/29 is fine but isn’t that small? i’d be using a 20l for a young one for maybe 2-3 months and then upgrade. what tank size have you found to work?

oh and one place said to try some veg while all others said strictly insectivore so i’m confused on that.

it’s almost like two different lizards are being mentioned. though most of the basic care-lighting, ambient temps, etc. were agreed upon by at least 4 sites so the above are my only real issues. though any random tips or info are welcomed. thanks all.

I have never owned one myself, so I’m just putting in what I would think is best.
just to be safe (and reasonable) I would have the basking temp. at 90-100. I’d have the substrate half bedabeast/half playsand. Humidity should be more at 50-60.
How many gallons is a 20l? It’s cage should be at least a 20 gallon.
