My plated lizards  25.6.08 i bought 2 plated lizards wat im led 2 believe as a male and female i got them in 1 tank and yesterday found the male sort of moving in slow motion and like a sort of shaking or juddering and then bit the female between front and rear legs this hapend twice and im wondering if any 1 cud give me any info if they no wat this means??this hasnt happend since!the lizards dont seem to be eating either!the females tail also luks really fat?? thanks for reading and luk forward to hearing off any1 who as any info thanks again kevin

My plated lizards  difficult to say, because with many lizards, plateds included, bites to the rear of the body generally signify bullying/territorial domination, whereas bites to the neck region are generally mating related. the physical signs on the "female" that you were describing sounds like evidence of consistant bullying. just to play it safe, i would probably seperate them and see how that fares.
