Appetite loss/refusing to eat food w/ vitamins My black-lined plated lizard has had a drastic appetite decrease that began several weeks ago and has not stopped. It seems that he is about done growing, so it may be possible that he just had an exceptionally hearty appetite previously, he also displays slightly less enthusiasm when hunting crickets. No constipation is going on, because defecation is completely normal. He also has started refusing food that is coated in vitamin supplements. Any thoughts?

Appetite loss/refusing to eat food w/ vitamins almost the exact same thing happened to me with my black lined last winter. he one day completely stopped eating crickets and fruit and would only eat mice like pinkies and fuzzies and bits of strawberries.completely ignored the crickets and his appetite decreased drastically in two weeks although his fecies were still normal.i’m pretty sure it’s a phase because he started eating crickets again this spring and eats every one in sight now. mine has always hated calcium dust and vitamins. i usually just dust crickets twice a week or 3 times a week or gutload them really good.

Appetite loss/refusing to eat food w/ vitamins Alright thanks. I wasn’t terribly worried since he shows no signs of weight loss or poor health, but i was just concerned about it developing into something bad down the road.
