 Burrowing!/Help

My oscar is always under his rock.I set up his cage so that he can hide underneath a rock inlet.But hes there all the time.Hes 2 years old and was wondering if hes ok.Do they hide alot.Is it hsi light cos it don’t feel extremely hot as well.

Whats A lot? like days or hours? mine only comes out to sun bathe or to eat or swim and catch crickets.

Well like hes under the rock for like 8 hours! But he comes out when i feed him and comes when im not in the room so maybe he’s scared cos ive had him for like 2 months.

lol thats normal, not to worry, they like to hide. mine used to burrow under his water dish, even once he got bigger than it!

mine hide most of the day its not cos theres out wrong with them its just wot they do they are shy animals to start with and in the wild they spend most of there time under ground in borrows out of the sun so i wouldnt worry i take my hides out for 3 hours a day just so i know there getting uv and some heat to digest there food
