My yellow lined plated lizard’s claws are getting really long and sharp and i saw that he actually ripped one off b/c he may have gotten it caught on something. i read on this site that it is okay to clip them. I tried to clip them a little bit and he was fine but some of his nails on his back legs started bleeding and I only cut off a little bit and not even close to his actual toe. So - is this normal to bleed a bit? Should i even try to clip them again? what should i do to trim them b.c they can be too sharp to handle him.

Clipping plated’s nails
does your platy have like 4-6 inchs of dirt to dig in because that naturaly wears them down. my platy claws were realy sharp when i got him and he has been digging and walking and has worn them down
