 Does anyone know what this is?

And if it would be safe to use in my gecko’s tank.
They were an anniversary present from my boyfriend last year and they don’t seem to do well in the cold weather here. I don’t want them inside because of my kitties, but Sky would probably like them and they would probably do better.
Thanks =)

It’s a cyclamen. It does best in a dryer-forest type vivarium, for example with an AFT or Crested gecko. the tubers and rhizomes can exude a semi-toxic sap if damaged, but if it’s in a pot that shuldn’t be a problem.

Thank you! I think it will do good in my geckos tank then and I think she’ll like it. I wanna wait until the flowers fall off again...if they do... Plus it’s two different plants in the pot. I can leave half outside, and put half in the tank (^_^)

dont overwater them, or the bulbs rot. i made that mistake when i got my first cyclamen plant. i have found that they generally do better when planted outside and left alone. if you find a way to keep them alive inside, let me know!!
