The species you will almost always encounter at a pet store and at most reptile expos is Acanthosaura capra. All but one of mine were wild caught, but all of them are very cool and calm and holdable. I have encountered a few that are kind of "aggressive", but really they are either usually ill or very stressed out when they act like that, and most will calm down and tolerate handling very well. In general, they are great pets, but def do your research on their care, the specific conditions they should be kept in are pretty important for their health and longevity! deri
