 Humidity!!!

Now that the weather is cooling off and I have to have the heat lamps up higher to keep the right temp, I can’t get the humidity up to where it should be. I’ve got Dudley a waterfall a bubbler pool a fogger and a heating pad and am still having to mist constantly. The humidity is good at the bottom but he is rarely on the bottom, he’s always up high on a branch. PLEASE ANY IDEAS ???

If you have screen top put plastic over half of it or get a glass top also you can put some Ice cubes on top of the tank

 Humidity!!!

I have that problem also in the winter. I mist them a little more frequently, like 5-6 times a day at least as opposed to 2 or 3 in the summer. I use warm water in the spray bottle instead of room temperature so as not to freeze or shock them! To keep in both warmth and humidity, last year I did cover like 1/2 to 3/4 of their cage with a blanket. It worked pretty well. I’ve had my MHd’s through 4 winters now, and they’ve always done fine even with the lower humidity, they always eat a little less and slow down a bit.
It’s a pain n the butt for all my reptiles and amphibians though, and for me to try to keep temps and humidity up in 12 different cages. For their warmth and happiness as well as my own, I would looooove to live somewhere that is nice and warm all year round! Southwestern Ohio weather suuuxxx!!
