Please help!!! savannah monitor lost in house.

We took our savannah monitor out of his home to try to feed him. My boyfriend put him in a shoe box with a cricket and we went outside for 5 mins and came back in and it was gone!! We have searched everywhere! We have looked in everything, behind everything, under everything and around everything and he is no where. Is there anything we can do to get him to come out? I’m really worried because he hasn’t been eating very good. We just got it to eat 3 crickets today after not eating in 6 days. Can anyone please help?????

he would look form somewhere enclosed and warm.
look in places where there would be tight fits.

use flour on the floor at night to see if he comes out and what direction he goes in.

also if hes not eating the last thing you want to do is take him out of his enclosure.

the reason he is not eating is probably due to improper temperatures, humidity or husbandry

Savannah monitor are considered escape artists. This one is much to small to be taken out and not be in your hands. Hold hi. Otherwise he will roam and you will be in the position you are now in. When and if you find him make sure to keep the lid on his cage secured. Locks or clamps

set up a small tank with some meal worms and crickets with a small light above it
you should attract it with food light and water
use a pillow as a ramp to let it get in
