#2276372 Snowowl View Profile	Any info on the ban on monitor lizards when i tryed to buy one most pet store wernt selling them they said thir was a ban n the ones that the pet stores were getting were sick..is the ban just comming from asia and or is it here to ..i cant find much info on that ..or is it a sugested ban whats it about

#2276403 Jasper2012 View Profile	Message To: Snowowl   In reference to Message Id: 2276389  Any info on the ban on monitor lizards snowowl, rather than check here on the forum you should really check in 3 local places, 1) local herp vet, 2) local humane society and 3) local fish and game... with an asian water monitor be sure it isn’t under another local or state law such as large exotic or large carnivore law... there’s also the possibility of city regulations but rather than going direct to animal control I’d check the 3 places I listed... little safer than inadvertently turning yourself in just in case. I did all this before purchase.
