#2274595 Daryl- View Profile	Inbreeding? Hey Haven’t posted on here for a while, just been lurking. My four Ackies are slowly reaching the age where ’flondling’ may occur. My plan was to breed them and due to all Ackies being related in some form, I thought that 4 Ackies from the same clutch would be fine. So I would just like a heads up to whether this is fine or will i get and babies with an extra limb!? Cheers Daryl

It’s been done 100 times over from a small founder stock in the early 90’s and they seem to all be normal time and time again. If you have issues with small animals, blindness, egg infertility or something "concrete" to make you suspect a recessive gene that sucks is showing up, outcross them later on. Probably will be fine though as they would die in the egg typically if there’s a defect, not after hatching.
