New Baby Sav monitor in BIG cage

I have a 6’ L X 3’ W X 3’ H enclosure built for my baby BOSC monitor being delivered tomorrow.

I want him to grow into his cage. Will all that space be too much for him at this age and his 6" body and could stress him out?

No more stressed than being born into their world outside... which is much bigger and more dangerous than your enclosure.

Any pictures? Make sure there are plenty of hides.

Actually it would be better off with something a little smaller. It might have a hard time finding food. It could all come down to how well you utilize your cage. Also you might have a harder time getting proper temps in a bigger cage. I have 5 sav’s ranging from 8 to 11 inches long in a 140 gallon set up, and a 6 inch runt who’s the boldest of them all in a 40 gallon. If you are going to use the 6x3x3, make sure you got lots of hides and tons of stuff cramed into the cage to make it feel like its safe and at home.

the size is fine, if they can find food in the wild they can certainly find food in a 6 foot box, dont use a tank..
but yes utilize the space and give him a variety of zones to chill in
