Frozen crickets? Can I feed my savannah frozen crickets? I hate taking care of crickets and I don’t see a problem with it but wanted to see what some of the more experienced people thought.
Also can I feed dead crickets? Thought this might be a bad idea but not sure.

Frozen crickets? If your Monitor will eat a dead pile of thawed insects - go for it. Most don’t want dead insects. The movement gets them fired up to eat them along with smell. I’d mix up the diet with a dozen or two live crickets from the petstore along with fuzzy mice or chicks.

Frozen crickets? When I go to a reptile show, I buy a few thousand crickets at $10. a thousand. I put them into the freezer. Being I feed all my monitors using feeding dishes, I put a handfull of frozen crickets in each bowl. Then I add the pinkie pieces. I also feed live dubia roaches and occasionally crickets for stimulation. All 21 of my small monitors eat them. Now that the argus have gotten larger, they only eat them some times.

Frozen crickets? It could depend on the monitor. I have to feed my monitor one cricket at a time. I drop one in and as soon as it moves its dead. But I have recently found the left over crickets have chewed a noce whole in the side of his neck, so make sure you take out the left overs.

Frozen crickets? Throw some veggies in you wont have that problem. You can also throw a cage cleaner in.
