 Savanha monitor

I was thinking of purchasing a sav monitor this fall and i’ve been doin research and i need to know what size cage i can put them in because all the stuff i read all have diffrent cage size ideas. Also I would like to know which is better ackie monitor or savanah monitor and why either one is better.

thank for the replies

i personally started out with a savannah a couple years ago but they need a big cage and cost lot more to feed and house then ackies.
a savannah needs at least a 6 to 8’ L by 4’ W by 4’ H cage with at least 1 to 2 feet of dirt.
an ackie can live in a relatively small cage 4’L 2’W 2’H
remember these are just min. cage sizes as much bigger is better.

nothing is better its just how/ if you can care for them and peoples personal opinions.
ackies are cb while savannahs are wc
ackies are more active then savannahs
savannahs cost less then ackies
ackies are smaller then savannahs and cost less to feed

in over all ackies are the best starters and will cost less in the long run, its a steal compared to a savannahs plus you should start off small because a monitor is nothing like other lizards.
