Now I see why they are miserable. :(

No wonder why you don’t like them, and you like you’re Tegus.

Cheers,
Chad

See that is much better. If you dont go around calling people "twats" and everything else you will have a good time on this forum. The one kid you called a tit is one of the more experienced members on this forum. It would be nice if you could apologize to him.

This forum shares alot of good information that im sure you could find usefull. There are quite a few members on here that have argus and breed them over and over again. Krusty is one of them and im sure he would love to share information with you. Hopefully you could stay around and learn a little and share your thoughts.

Any chance you have any pics of your sav and its enclosure? I have 2 savannahs 1.1 and would like to see yours.

Chad/AlbigCrazy told you at the very beginning-’none’, most would rather not be handled, but some may become more tolerant of you if treated with respect and not ’force handled’
It sounds like your current monitors are telling you the truth as far as how they want to be treated. Left to explore on their own, but not really messed with other than feeding. Why would you want to ’handle’ something that really doesn’t crave to be touched? It’s nothing more than molestation.
If you’re not happy with monitors, why get another one? From what you say, yours are acting like real monitors should- congrats for that !

 Coults’s argus

So yours saying he so I’m assuming its a male, and I see people are saying that you have had it for around 3 years so "he" should be full grown and im sorry charlie but an 8x4x6 is pretty small for an adult male argus. I would not build anything smaller than 10’ long.

You ask us for advice, we come back and give you advice and at that its correct advice and you go out and start calling names, thats not very intellegent on your part.

No varanid at anytime wants to be held, even an un-healthy one. Some may tollerate it but as soon as they are done then thats it. In the picture if your feeding him right then "he" looks to be under a year so something is off with your cage, diet, or temps.

Now, people have been asking for you to post some pictures of your full cage so we can see whats off and see why your monitors are miserable.

And until then, I wouldnt get anything else til’ you can provide correctly for your animals.

Josh
