If it has a screen top either a cover more than 2/3rd’s of it with tin foil or you can ditch the screen top and just make a wooden top. Give it atleast 8-10 inches of diggable dirt that will hold a burrow and get his basking spots up to about 130’s surface temperature which you will be able to check and get with a temp gun.

As soon as you get it, start working on your adult cage. Build an 8x4x4(lwh) cage the day you get it because you dont need to keep it in the 55 gallon.

Also feed it as much as it will eat as of right now but if you keep it when it gets full grown and you actually have the adult cage built with alot of dirt then you will need to cut back on food because bosc’s are known to get fat.
Some more experienced bosc keepers will let you know about that.

cheers

You can use dirt from your back yard. Or you can mix topsoil with sand. If using dirt from your yard make sure it has no pesticides.
