 Blue prints/ diagrams
Ok so im not looking to get ripped apart by the experienced keepers here, because i know varanids are a HUGE responsibility, both personally and financially. I am just looking for a litle help with a cage, i am planning on getting a savannah monitor, ( i know its not a cuddly pet, eats like a cow, and grows anywhere from 3-5 foot. So i want to build a cage before i acquire the little guy. I have looked over how to cages a couple times and jumped around different cage messages, but i was wondering if anyone had a good instruction type visual aide, preferably for an 8x4-5x4 cage, and really preferably set up for a savannah. I had a savannah before when i lived with my parents in a 6x2x3 cage but my parents made me give him away to a local zoo because our freezer was filled with rats and i mentioned turnings my walk in closet into a sav den :), this is besides the ball python rack, 3 bearded dragon tank, uromastyx, and the fact that i took out my bed and slept on a couch in the basement and had one dresser for all my posession not pertaining to herps.... thats just the kind of teen i was.. so any help would be appreciated, i am prepared and obviously dedicated so please give a guy a hand

you dont need a design its just a box with a door or window
fame the whole thing with 2 by 3s after you put whatever for the bottom then you just go from there
look though the how to cage post etc to get an idea

Hey scott, I have a savannah monitor he/she is about 2 to 2-1/2ft. I actually need to make him a cage lol. It might have to go in the basement because his cage is going to be 8’x4’x4’ (LWH) I have most of the mitarials just need the stuff so the wood doesnt rot. If you can youll have to keep me posted on what you find lol

well what im wanting to do, is make is a big box with a front viewing window made of plexi glass, and a top that lifts up. I wanna line the inside with either frp, or possible tile or linoleum. I just want to make sure he has a good 18-24 inches of substrate to dig in.
