Ornate monitor, Nile monitor, Tanzanian Nile monitor

I know the Ornate monitor was classified as its own species, but what about the Tanzanian Nile monitor. The Ornate monitor gets 5ft, the Nile monitor gets 7ft, How big the the Tanzanian Nile monitor get? Can it also be classified as its own species.

Varanus ornatus can get up and over 6 feet long.

No the Tanzanian Nile is the same species as the Nile Monitor. Just a locale within niloticus range.

Cheers,
Chad

Chad nailed it above. Size is not so cut and dry though. Some of the above will get slightly over 4’ long while others will become behemoths at 7’ long. It’s not just one species gets to one size (think about Gary Coleman vs. Shaquille O’Neil and the species Homo sapiens).
